I would show you my progress, but I'm too much of a perfectionist to reveal the rooms until they're completely finished. For instance, remember my newly-painted living room?
Yeah, it doesn't look like that anymore. You just wait! It gets better. I've been putzing around with the layout of the living room for weeks now to make it look less retro-y and more... home-y (yes, those are technical terms). I can't wait to show it off once I'm finally done!
I guess that's kind of / sort of my problem... when I decide to paint a room, I get all excited about it, finish painting the room, and just kind of stare at it. I know there are a million things I can do to improve it even further, but I can't help just sitting, debating, and brainstorming. Sometimes I've got to live with the room for a few weeks before I think of something perfect to add to it.
So, that's where I stand on most of my rooms. They're painted, all right, but they're not quite done yet. And I want to show them off properly and proudly when they are done. I just can't help feeling all antsy about them in the meantime!
That being said, I'm proud of what I've accomplished in the past two and a half months. When I look at the "before" pictures, I'm just... astonished. If it weren't for those pictures, I don't think I could remember what these rooms looked like when we moved in! Anytime we look at the pictures, we can't help but gasp, "That was our kitchen!?" It's certainly a great feeling.
